The Need for Pensioners' Associations

Every pension scheme needs a close relationship between its pensioners and its Trustees. Farsighted employers will encourage the setting up and continuance of an occupational pensioners' association, which would provide valuable feedback between the parties. There are too few such associations.

Occupational Pensioners' Associations are fairly independent of the pension fund and the company. It is therefore very important that such associations exist to put forward suitable prospective candidates for election as Trustees from the pensioner membership of the Pension Fund.
